About Rythu Saradhi
From a weather blog to a farmer-built platform — Rythu Saradhi exists because farmers trusted us enough to tell us the truth about their lives.
Built From the Fields Up
Started as a weather blog in 2023. Shaped by farmer conversations. Launched as a platform in 2026.

“Farmers didn't just test our app — they designed it with us.”
It started with a weather blog and a farm visit
In 2023, while running a hyperlocal weather blog for Andhra Pradesh, we started visiting farms to understand how weather forecasts actually reached — or failed to reach — farmers on the ground. What started as research for better weather content became something far bigger.
Sitting with farmers in their fields during sowing seasons and unexpected rains, we discovered a profound gap: farmers were making million-rupee decisions — which crop to sow, when to spray, where to sell — with almost no data, no reliable advisory, and no digital tools they could trust.
We stopped being weather bloggers and started becoming students. Farmers became our Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Over 18 months of field interviews across AP and Telangana, farmers showed us exactly what they needed. They reviewed our wireframes. They rejected features that didn't solve real problems. They became our design partners.
Development began in 2025. Rythu Saradhi launched in 2026 — not as a product built for farmers, but one built with them.
Farmer SMEs
Farmers are our domain experts and product reviewers — always
Design Partners
Every feature is co-designed with farmers in the field
Farmer-First
We measure success by farmer income, not app downloads
Field-Validated
Nothing ships until a farmer has tested it in a real farm setting
Our Vision
A prosperous rural India where every farmer has access to world-class technology, fair markets, and the knowledge to farm sustainably and profitably.
Our Mission
To democratize agricultural intelligence — making AI-powered crop advice, live market prices, and expert support accessible to every farmer, regardless of education or income level.
From a weather blog to a farmer-built platform
We didn't start in a boardroom. We started in the fields — listening to the people who feed our nation.
The Idea — A Weather Blogger Meets the Farm
While running a hyperlocal weather blog for Andhra Pradesh, we started visiting farms to understand how weather actually impacts day-to-day farming decisions. We sat with farmers during sowing seasons, harvest days, and unexpected rain events. What we found was eye-opening — farmers were making critical decisions with almost no reliable data, no digital tools, and no one to turn to.
Farmers Became Our Teachers
We stopped thinking of farmers as "users" and started treating them as Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Over 18 months, we conducted 200+ field interviews across Guntur, Krishna, Prakasam, and Warangal. Farmers showed us exactly what they needed — not a fancy app, but simple answers to real questions: Will it rain tomorrow? What is today's rice price in Ongole? Is my crop sick? Farmers became our design partners.
Development Begins — Built by Farmers, for Farmers
With a deep understanding of farmer pain points, we began building Rythu Saradhi. Every feature went back to the farm for validation before a single line of code was written. Farmers reviewed our wireframes, tested prototypes in their fields, and rejected features that didn't solve a real problem. The AI Crop Doctor, hyperlocal weather, and live APMC prices were all farmer-validated from day one.
Launch — Rythu Saradhi Goes Live
Rythu Saradhi launched publicly in 2026, covering all 59 districts of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. In the first weeks, thousands of farmers who had been part of our research journey became our first users — because they had helped build it. The app they downloaded was one they had already shaped. That is the Rythu Saradhi difference: farmers are not just our audience, they are our co-founders.
Farmers are not our users —
they are our SMEs and Design Partners.
Every feature in Rythu Saradhi was conceived, reviewed, and validated by the farmers who use it — long before it was ever coded.
Our core values
These principles guide every decision we make, from product features to how we treat our partners and employees.
Innovation
We leverage cutting-edge AI, satellite tech, and data science to solve age-old farming challenges.
Farmer-First
Every product decision starts with one question: does this make a farmer's life better?
Integrity
We are transparent about pricing, data usage, and our capabilities. No hidden fees, no false promises.
Scale
We build for millions. Our technology must work in low-bandwidth, multilingual, offline-first environments.
Community
Farming is communal. We build features that connect farmers with peers, experts, and buyers.
Sustainability
We promote data-driven resource optimization — less water, fewer chemicals, healthier soil.
Where We Stand
Built on research, not guesswork
These are real milestones — not projections. Every number here is something we earned before writing a single line of production code.

“I started as a weather blogger. I thought I was writing about rain and temperature. But the moment I sat with a farmer in Guntur watching the sky, I understood — I was writing about their livelihood, their children's education, their entire year. That is when I stopped being a blogger and started being a student.
Every farmer I met taught me something I could not have learned in any classroom. They are not our target audience — they are our SMEs, our design partners, our co-founders in every way that matters. Rythu Saradhi exists because farmers trusted us enough to tell us the truth about their lives.”
